Boletus (porcini) is the most famous forest mushroom known as the ‘king of wild mushrooms’. Because of its distinct aroma it is one of the most appreciated mushrooms of all. Truffles are also referred to as ‘black diamonds’ – they have a special and unique aroma and grow underground.
In addition to having an aphrodisiac effect, truffles are rich in important micro-nutrients that cause the brain to release mood-enhancing chemicals. The best wine choice to go with your boletus and truffle dish is Teran – the old indigenous Istrian wine grape variety.
