Sustainability for us means acting with integrity — protecting natural resources today while creating a positive legacy for generations to come. Our gardens, terraces, and exteriors are often the first introduction to our locations. Beyond their recognised beauty, they reflect our ecological vision. Each site honours its own tradition: the native Mediterranean landscape of Šibenik, the sculpted Habsburg-era gardens of Opatija, and the deco-inspired indoor palms of our Zagreb city hotel. By caring for these landscapes and evolving their design, we connect heritage with environmental responsibility — ensuring that aesthetics and sustainability grow together. Energy Efficiency

We’ve upgraded boiler rooms to operate on electricity rather than oil and introduced energy-saving appliances, lighting, and fans. Each step adds up, making energy efficiency one of our most effective ways of addressing climate change.

Water & Resource Conservation

We implement smart solutions to conserve water and energy across our hotels. From rainwater harvesting and automated irrigation to solar power, eco-certified laundry systems, and low-consumption lighting and taps, every measure helps us reduce waste and protect natural resources.

Sustainable Operations

All our laundries use EU Ecolabel detergents, which limit harmful substances, improve biodegradability, and reduce packaging waste. Guests also help by choosing to reduce towel and linen wash cycles.

Waste Management

We have long separated recyclables, plastics, oils, and metals, ensuring each is responsibly processed. By reducing plastic use and encouraging recycling at every level, we lessen our environmental impact.

Sustainable Sourcing

Our kitchens focus on small-batch production and locally grown produce. This approach supports regional farmers, reduces transport emissions, and ensures fresher flavours on every plate.

Green Innovation

We apply Effective Microorganisms (EM) Technology, a sustainable alternative to chemical treatments, in our waste-water management. Developed in Japan, this innovation supports cleaner systems without harming ecosystems.
