Aruba’s Atmosphere at Amadria Park

Amadria Park in Šibenik hosted Croatia’s largest-ever international IT event, demonstrating a new standard for technology infrastructure, hospitality management and guest experience in the region.

Atmosphere EMEA 2018, held by Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company, welcomed 1,542 visitors representing 50 countries including the US, Australia, Ecuador, as well as Europe, from June 4-7. All events and accommodation were provided at Šibenik’s 135-acre site.

The venue was selected due to its unmatched IT infrastructure, which includes over 400 Wi-Fi access points and has created a platform for years of additional growth and innovation. Attendees at Atmosphere 2018 were able to enjoy instant, secure Wi-Fi access from all areas of the site, whether in the conference room or at the beach bar, meaning a smooth, uninterrupted experience for every type of user.

“Amadria Park provides a truly world-class technology experience, and shows the real potential of digital transformation in the hospitality industry,” said Keerti Melkote, co-founder and president of Aruba. “This is a venue that really shares our belief that providing new customer experiences, powered by technology, is what will drive future business growth.”

Thanks to its new technology environment, Amadria Park, which also has locations in Zagreb and Opatija, is able to accommodate many of the largest conferences in Croatia at any time of the year. This not only increases business appeal, but also extends the tourism appeal far beyond previous expectations.

“We can have a medical conference with 500 doctors one week, and the next week an IT conference with 1,000 IT professionals, each with very different application requirements and very different data usage,” says Zrinko Badanjak, Chief Technology Officer at Amadria Park. “This is at the heart of what a great hotel should be. A home from home experience.”

“For the hospitality sector, Wi-Fi is just as important as hot water in rooms,” added Zrinko. “Our customers appreciate it when they have not just connectivity but the best connectivity. We’re comfortable with the fact that we have invested in one of the most advanced network access control and guest onboarding tools on the market.”
