For Jasna and Hrvoje, Amadria Park Hotel Continental is one of those places – the place where their story began more than 30 years ago.

When Jasna first arrived at the hotel in the early ’90s, she could never have imagined that this would be the place where she would meet the person she would one day spend her life with. At the same time, Hrvoje was also staying at the hotel. Their childhood friendship gradually grew into love, which has since blossomed into a happy marriage.

Although they now live in Zagreb, Opatija remains a place they are always happy to return to. It was here that they got engaged in 2007, and almost two decades later, they decided to revisit the hotel that had played such an important role in the beginning of their life together – this time with their children, eager to show them a place that holds a special place in their hearts.

“As soon as I stepped into the hotel, I was overwhelmed by memories,” Jasna recalls. “I remembered the room where I stayed, the way the reception and restaurant used to look, as well as the pastry shop and the cakes I absolutely loved. It was especially meaningful to share all of this with my children and show them the place that was such an important part of my childhood.”

The story of Jasna and Hrvoje reminds us that hotels are much more than places to stay. They become the backdrop to some of life’s most precious moments – places where friendships are formed, love stories begin and memories are created to last a lifetime.
