Today’s Agava was formerly the Villa Habsburg, built in 1896 for the first owner of the Kranj building society from Ljubljana, Rudolf Köck.
Josef Lederer
The villa was subsequently bought by hotelier Josef Lederer who opened the building as the luxurious Lederer guest house as part of his hotel chain.

The hotel received the highest award from Prince Ludwig Salvatore, a scientist, travel writer, visionary and artist who often enjoyed the beauty of Villa Habsburg.
